I received the M.Sc. degree (magna cum laude) in electronic engineering and the Ph.D. degree in mathematical models for engineering, electromagnetism, and nanosciences from the Sapienza University of Rome.

From 2016 to 2018, I had a postdoctoral position with the Department of Economics, Roma Tre University, where I am currently a Research Fellow in mathematics. I work in a number of interdisciplinary applications of Mathematics, but primarily in multi-agent systems (decision dynamics, opinion formation, collective behavior) and energy economics (financialization, energy commodity prices, entropy-based analysis). Other research areas (past or present) are: special functions (orthogonal polynomials, continued radicals, p formulas), basis theory (Gabor frames, Kadec’s 1/4-theorem, Riesz basis, non-harmonic exponential bases, frames, wavelets, waveform dictionary), signal theory (sampling theorem, timing jitter, digital-to-analog converters, bandlimited interpolation, energy estimate, signal reconstruction), robotics (redundant manipulator, discrete control, expansions in complex bases, octopus arm, self-similar control system, Fibonacci sequence), mathematical biology (enzyme kinetics, singular perturbation theory, asymptotic expansions, Michaelis-Menten kinetics).

I am also a reviewer for MathSciNet and zbMATH and a referee for some peer-reviewed journals.

I have approached Mathesia with curiosity and spirit of research. The value I find in Mathesia is mainly the stimulus that practical, industrial and “non-academic” problems are able to give us in order to make our research efforts more effective.

As we can guess, innovation is the key role in this context and it takes many forms: process, product, service. Hence, innovation is more than creativity and more than improvement: it is a complex development of discoveries and inventions introduced on the market and promoted by firms, that hopefully leads to adopt by more and more users.
